Tee Off in Style

Whenever you step out onto the golf course it is essential that you are properly dressed, and many courses will have rules about appropriate attire which you will need to follow. Golf is a sport of class and style, so before you tee off you will want to do some shopping to get some stylish clothing which is also practical too. This way you will both look and feel good on the course, and hopefully this will result in a good round! Whenever you watch the Masters or any golf tournament you will notice that everyone is wearing smart clothing, and this is part of tradition but also practicality too.

What You Need to Wear

There is a good chance that you will have some of the items you need in your wardrobe, but the shoes will be something that you have to invest it. Golf shoes are the only type of footwear allowed on the course, so make sure you pick a decent pair up from a sports store. For a top you will want either a shirt or polo shirt, and it might be worthwhile checking with the club to see if they have any rules about whether or not you have to have a collar. Chances are that you will have something suitable in your wardrobe, but you may want to pick something up anyway for a complete golfing outfit.

Golf trousers will be the next thing to get, and these are hugely important but often overlooked. The trousers are an important part because they need to be comfortable and flexible, and I have found going to the driving range in jeans almost impossible as they restrict your movement which is not good for your swing. You can pick up smart, comfortable trousers from golfing stores that will look good and help your performance, and remember to try them on before you buy to make sure they are a good fit.

These are the main items that you will need to walk onto any golf course, but there are also things like a glove, bag, hat, sunglasses and other accessories to consider too. You can pick up all of these from decent golf shops, and a lot of the clothing is very stylish too, you may even find yourself wearing the items when you’re not on the course!
